Fionna Fernandes creates vibrant illustrations for Junior Scholastic Magazine’s News Alert page.

Fionna worked on a variety of artworks for the kid's publication, bringing her youthful aesthetic to the spread with two quarter-page illustrations and one spot.

The first accompanies a piece on how the US is becoming more diverse, with a mix of people of all ages and ethnicities, the second is a pizza vending machine for an article on the first machine of its kind in Italy, and the spot illustration is a decorative sea floor with shells and coral that illustrates a feature on unique sea slugs.
